When i enter an address the tom tom is taking the long way. I have changed "fastest route" to " shortest route" but it still does it. Is there a setting I'm missing? Is there a "less turns" setting?

Hi
@WildCat_81
What is your Device and do you have any Avoids set in the Setting Menu i.e... Motorways, Toll roads etc...
The Shortest route is not always the fastest route

I have the trucker 600. The avoids are ferries, tolls & carpool. I had it on fastest and it was taking me out of the way so i switched to shortest and it is still taking me out of my way. For example if my destination is just ahead it will detour me about 5km. This makes no sense.0

HI @WildCat_81
Apart from the possibility of a map error by chance is there a possibility you have weight or width settings set higher than they need to be so it thinks there is a bridge or weight restriction that it should not use based on your settings or it has wrong in the mapping.
There is an facility called Map Share Reporter you could try and use to question why the roundabout route is occurring .

Hi
@WildCat_81
Are you planning the route directly on the device or are you using the MyDrive Web Route planner ???

The route is being planned directly on the device.0

Hi @WildCat_81
Just guessing.
Is there any Route Setting that means you arrive at an Address on the correct side of the road.
Is the destination on a dual carriage way and it is taking you a long way round to get you arriving next to the site entrance. ie has it not picked up a quicker way to be arriving correctly that you know.
Are these a particular destination or is it doing for several destinations.
Doug.
