Ban the device update for a lost property

Hey Guys,

I'm new here, I rent a car from Sixt in Munich for a short trip in Salzburg from 20.4.2019 to 22.4.2019. I returned the car to Munich Airport Rental Cars Return car park. Unfortunately I left my TomTom Go 520 in the car. I contacted Sixt, Munich Airport and ADAC, Sixt said "they will give ALL lost property direct into Lost and Found Office in Munich Airport:. But Office said no so far. So I think someone just pick it up and do not report it.

So I would like to ask you guys have you lost your device before? Have you found it? Can I ask customer service for help? for example: block the device or black the update?
