Why does my TomTom Go40 just tell me at what time I'll arrive,

My device just tells me when I arrive, but does not conduct the travel. Not any information while driving. How can I change this?

    Hi @Pieter51

    Can you check the sound settings.

    If you Tap Menu has the Speaker icon bottom left got a line through it is so Tap it. Is the volume bar showing a suitable volume and does the Voice icon bottom right have a line through it if so tap it.

    Also Tap Menu
    Tap setting
    Tap Sounds and Warnings
    Is it the warning set to visual only if so Tap it and change.

    Hi
    @Pieter51

    Are you using a Computer Voice... you need a Text To Speech Computer voice for spoken directions

    Also... Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) -->
    Are any of the sound Icons slashed through

    Hi
    @Pieter51

    You're welcome, glad you're sorted :)

    Also... For general improvement using the Tomtom Speed Cam Database over the default settings

    Always use a Computer voice...
    Also....
    From the main screen... Tap (.... Menu) -> Setting -> Sounds & Warnings...
    Set... 'Warning Type' to... Read Allowed... (Important... Needs a Computer Voice set in the Voices menu)
    Speed Cameras & Hazards... Set to ON
    The next 10 Setting ALL set to Always
    The next 4 Settings ALL set to ON
    The device will now say....
    'Fixed Camera'
    'Mobile Hot Spot'
    'Red-light Camera'
    'Accident Black-spots
    ‘Spoken Traffic delays’

    Speed Cams
    If you keep a check on the Traffic-bar... The device gives you a visual Warning of the next Fixed or Mobile Speed Camera many miles before you reach the camera
    Even more info if in the 'Setting menus' you setup a Wide Traffic/Route Bar
