Rider 450 - not charging via Bike Mount

Hi All,
My 450 has stopped charging via the Tomtom mount. The device will charge via a usb cable, and the mount has power (tested and it reads a stable voltage).
The mount pins are in good condition and they make contact with the gps, all connectors are clean etc...
Is this a known issue and are suggestions for a solution? I am about to embark on a tour of Norway in a few weeks and need the gps!

    Stable power over the pins?
    Some mounts are indeed defect. Do you have a car-mount? Does it work using that one?
    Can you try with a friends mount (car or motorcycle)?

    It reads a stable 12v over the dock/mount pins.
    I don’t have another mount and am the only Tomtom user in my area (rural town).
