To be frank, that's not really an answer. The head unit has the google play store that lets me download the app and pay for it. If they do not support it, then they should state so.
Hey was there ever any resolution to this? I too downloaded it direct from play store (it wasn't marked as not compatible), paid the upgrade and am hitting the same issue with grey icons. Any way round this or is it just a case of finding a different offline sat nav solution?
