I have a Renault Kangoo 2011 with TomTom and the SD card is installed it says you cannot use this map on this device: United Kingdom and replublic of ireland-884. The SD card has been put into a laptop and updated with TomTom Hone but it still doesnt work!

The map seems to be corrupted.
I have reactivated the same map on your account.
But, first remove the existing map using TomTom HOME and then download the map that gets offered.
This should fix the issue.

We don't have that old version of the Truck map available on our servers.
As an alternative, I have activated the Europe map which you can download using TomTom HOME.
** Please remove the existing map first.

As above. I have plugged in my TomTom Go 530, update and now I get the:
"you cannot use this map on this device: Europe_TRUCK-794"
Any advice as I use this for work and need the features for my truck!

I have a Scenic 3 and after "update" on Tomtom Home I received next error: you can not use this map on this device: Europe-101770.

Dave, we don't have the truck version available for your model. So I have activated the basic Europe version.

I have a same problem like other members above, just updated my MK3 Megane Nav's SD Card via TomTom HOME and now I get the message from my navi that " You cannot use this map on this device: Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_170
Maybe.. Could you help me how can I fix it?!

I have the same/similar issue. I switched on my sat nav today and it’s asking me to select a map. The only option available is ‘Western Europe’. After I select this, I receive the message “problem with map: you cannot use this map on this device: Western_Europe-419”.
I have never seen this message before. As a result I cannot use my sat nav.
I have tried connecting to TomTom Home and checking for updates or anything that would help but had no luck!
Please can you advise what I should do??!!
My device is TomTom XXL IQ Routes / XXL Classic

If you look on the page linked below you can see if your device is considered obsolete therefor there is no more support from Tomtom.
Whether @VikramK can reactivate the map for you you will see if he responds tomorrow.

Thanks for the response.
Unfortunately the new map is too large for my device (new map is 2200mb whereas my device has a total storage capacity of 1885mb).
Do you have the original map (size is 1649mb version 875.3669)? Alternatively, I only use the UK map. Is there a map for the UK only?
Also, any idea why (all of a sudden) this issue occurred? I find it strange the map was available one day and then unavailable the next (even though I can see the map is still on the device).

The exact version you are looking for may not be available on our servers for download.
The Western Europe map should be offered for download in zones.
I have activated the UK and ROI map which should now be offered for download.
It would be difficult to say what could have caused the problem.

I have the same problem, just paid to get a map update and now my sat nav doesn't work at all!
My device is a Carminat TomTom and the message is: "You cannot use this map on this device: United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-102145".

Yes, I've installed the map on my SD card using the HOME app, everything seems fine, but then when I replace the card in my car I get the cannot use this map error mentioned above.
If you are going to change the card then you will have to start the whole process again.
First, the card has to be formatted on a computer, re-initialized on the built-in device then when you connect it to the computer the map gets offered as an updates.
Out of curiosity, why do you wish to replace the card if all works fine on the first memory card?

Sorry, maybe I haven't been clear.
I don't want to change the memory card, I only have one memory card.
I took the memory card out of my car to update the map. I plugged it into my computer, bought a map, and then updated the card with it (all via the TomTom HOME app).
That all apparently worked, but when I put my memory card back into my car I now get the cannot use map error.
