Device Disconnection after 30 seconds
I've owned this for 2 years running on an XP PC with no problems. I have only had a problem when I installed mydrive on my new Windows 10 PC.
The device always shows in Device Manager when plugged in as Remote NDIS Compatible Device.
It initially shows in MyDrive but then get the message to connect device. It still shows in Device Manager and shows as Connected to Computer on the Start 42 Device screen.
I also see exactly the same issue with my Via 130. It only fnctions correctly on my old XP computer.
Thanks, Trev

Re "Download/installation interrupted".....
The Computer Manufacturers appear to be setting "USB Selective Suspend" to ON as default
Especially Laptops, maybe to improve the look of the battery life
Are your USB ports set for power saving "USB Selective Suspend"
Win7 See... http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/147369-usb-selective-suspend-turn-off.html
Win10 See… https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/73187-turn-off-usb-selective-suspend-windows-10-a.html
Click on link and scroll down to "Turn Off USB Selective Suspend"
Also turn off any Screen savers any other Power savers or USB port monitoring software installed

Do you have or have access to a 'Surface Dock', if so plug your device into a USB port on that. Others have found that to work
On the Win10 tablets, Microsoft has hidden the "USB Selective Suspend" menu
You will need to edit the Registry for the USB Selective Suspend menu to show

I did look at the USB power options but they were very limted with only a tick box option in Device Manager for Turning off this devcie for power saving, but this made no difference.
I have a Lenova Laptop.
I will investigate your suggested registry option to see if "USB Selective Suspend" appears in Advanced Power Options.
I will keep you updated.
Thanks
TomTom device no longer disconnects.
Thanks very much

I have exactly the same problem with my GO 500. I have a brand new DEll G3 15 with windows 10. I've just tried your solution using the command prompt window but it doesn't work for me. What I did was opening the command prompt and trying the command:
powercfg /SETACVALUEINDEX SCHEME_CURRENT 2a737441-1930-4402-8d77-b2bebba308a3 48e6b7a6-50f5-4782-a5d4-53bb8f07e226 0
My device still keeps disconnecting after about 30 sec. Any other suggestion?
I've opened a ticket with support (200129-000814) but the solution they gave me is to buy a new device, and this for sure will have the same problem.
Thank you very much for your help.

Hi YamFazMan,
Thank you very much. This time it worked. I had to edit the Registry to activate the extra options in Power Management. Then after setting the "USB Selective Suspend" to disabled it worked fine.
No longer get disconnected.
Really helpful.
