regarding gps problems unable to deal with the rollover

I contacted customer support because my gps wasn't working properly today. After waiting a half hour, I spoke to a techie who told me it was because of the rollover from the satellite. He said he'd send me an email with instructions on how to correct the problem. I got the instructions, but was unable to get them to work in my Model One. I finally gave up and bought a new one. My question is: Why isn't TomTom giving a large discount for those of us forced to purchase a new gps because the correction instructions don't work in every model -- obviously. And my second question is: What if a brand new gps needs to be corrected? Can we just send it back?

    Don't hold your breath as this is "just" a user form although run by TT employees.

    answer 1 Why should they be too generous when they've got you over a proverbial barrel
    answer 2 The new models (Nav 4 & 5) are not affected by this WNRO
