Before I upgrade to the GO620 I would like to know if I can program a route into the device?

You can use Tomtom Mydrive on a PC to plan routes and send them to the unit so that when you turn the unit on and link your phone to it the Route is ready for you to use or is saved into your My Routes folder in the unit to use later. If you connect the GO 620 to the PC the routes will be synced to the unit if you are running My Drive Connect in the background. You can use the MyDrive App on your Phone to create routes and send them to your Unit to be ready for you when you turn the unit on.

You can also create routes in 3rd party route software and save them to your PC and import them into your Tomtom account so that they sync to the Unit.
