GO500 - Transfering Ownership

in Devices using MyDrive Connect
Hi. Can anyone help ? I want to on sell my GO500. But am unsure how that works to register new owner on the site so they can updates maps instead of using my registered details. Can anyone advise how that can be done ? Thanks.

    Hi @Junkers88B_

    Do a Factory Reset on your unit to delete all your data etc.

    Then The new owner creates his own Tomtom account for it or adds it to his existing account if he has one.

    He then Starts the unit and because you have done a factory reset he has to. set it up including putting his TT account details in. The then connects it to MyDrive Connect and adds it to his account. He should then see all the Maps Live services that are currently available to the unit and any update that are available.

    Tap Menu
    Tap Settings
    Tap System
    Tap Reset Device
    Tap Agree that all data is removed.

    You can delete it on your account in MyDrive by selecting the bin.

    Thanks for answers - appreciated. Will doing a factory reset delete the maps currently installed ?

    Hi @junkers888.

    No they are tied to the units serial number and should be shown on a new owners account when he adds the unit to it and he selects it in MDC.
