GO 620 I am on the map page and when i select add a map it just tells me the amount of memory i have

Do you have a Micro SD Class 10 card in the extra memory slot. I suspect not.
The maps vary in file size so it is telling you how much space you have available for another map. Now you should always have 400mb minimum spare space on the internal memory as this is needed for Operational purposes.
If the map you want to add , it should show you the size of the file against it, is too big to fit on the internal memory then the extra SD card is required.
If you have an SD card installed it should be happy to load whatever map you want. Card Sizes 16 or 32gb recommended such as Sandisk or Samsung type from a reliable source .
