The Freestyle setting - what is it for?

Hi all
Can anyone explain the Freestyle activity setting to me? Is it another was of saying Walk?
I find it odd that TomTom doesn't have a Walk option and am always confused as to whether I should be using Run or Freestyle when I go on a measured walk. I've tried both and they give totally different calorie counts for the same distance / speed.
Cheers
Susan

Freestyle is for any GPs-enabled activity that is not running, cycling or swimming, just like Gym is for any non-GPS enabled activities that are not treadmill or indoor cycling. You want to use Freestyle as Run uses MET tables for calories, which are based on running paces, not your HR.
