Free Lifetime Maps updates only as long as Tom Tom supports it....
My device is still 100% but Tom Tom doesn't support it anymore.Do they force me to buy a new unit every odd year?

Should have stayed with Garmin

    Hi @Dosie

I had a look at your device information and I don't see lifetime maps active on it since the date it was linked to your account.

Further, the customer service has asked to provide a valid photo or a receipt which will mention the device came with lifetime maps.

I agree, offering 25% was not the best option but I also don't find that you have sent the requested documents.

    Regards
    Vikram

    Hi @Doosie

How long is TomTom LIFE TIME of lets say GO 500 or XXL?

Because for me "Life Time Updates" means as long as I use the gadget!
But I begin to realize that TomTom attributes another meaning to this, which is rather disappointing.

    Regards, proru

Why is the above Off Topic ???
When I purchased my GO 825 Live there was a reduced price offer plus Lifetime Maps
The Life time maps offer was a small Tomtom flyer taped to the box, on the flyer was the details of the offer and the registration code number, I keeped the receipt + the Lifetime Maps flyer
If by any chance Tomtom had no record of the purchase of the device or the Lifetime Map offer, I have proof of both

I realized I should have asked @VikramK not Doosie, sorry for my mistake.
I'm really interested to know how long GO 500 will be supported or when it will receive the death sentence by TomTom.
    Thank you @VikramK

    Hi @proru

End of support calls are difficult to take and a lot depends on what technology(software and hardware )changes we go through over the time and how long the devices can adapt.

Unfortunately it won't be possible to quote on a time frame NOW!

    Thank you/Vikram
