Fixed the Chrome login issue by doing a logout from the www.tomtom.com and then opening this site, which did show the login page this time. Seems like some cookie conflict?
Have just tried to edit my previous Post & I'm now told that I don't have permission (even though I had earlier successfully edited a Post)!
The "Recent Discussions" Page "appears" to be useless! It lists all of the Announcements First (regardless if there any been any recent activity), before listing the non-Announcement Discussions!
2) The much-vaulted "@Joe-Bloggs" feature no longer seems to pull up a list of names - hence you have to type it accurately!
To use the @ feature (that was degraded a few weeks ago) you have to type the first two characters of the user's name eg "@jo" to get a dropdown list of possible matches; but this is not limited to those who have contributed to the thread

Hi, Niall,
Have just tried typing in @Niall & I did NOT get a dropdown list at any stage!!
Thanks, that works fine too and with no adverse redirection.
1) Why both discussions.tomtom.com and tomtom.vanillacommunities.com domains? Are these different links to the exact same pages or are there two mirrored forums? And
2) what is the plan or prognosis - is one domain just temporary and only one of them intended to remain indefinitely?
The forum changed to a new provider at the end of January. That is why the old and the current links exist. Vanilla is the current forum. I think new posts will only shown in the Vanilla Forum.
APPs Forum is now also showing for me but the whole setup is still pretty clumsy, like the top links in the forum to post a new question, which redirects to the default place again and when clicked that same box at the new place it says it is leaving the forum but showing the exact same thing. There is a real QA problem with this implementation but guess that is the lean way of doing things these days..... just throw it live and let the users sort things out for you

I get that "Permission" problem when I try to modify my "signature" &, also, if I try to update my Picture-icon!
Cannot get this site to work with FireFox - having to use an old copy of Internet Explorer!
Other issues that I've noted:-
1) Also, have yet to find any "real" difference between the "Discussion-Home" page & the "Categories" page!
2) The much-vaulted "@Joe-Bloggs" feature no longer seems to pull up a list of names - hence you have to type it accurately!
3) I keep getting lots of Notifications that tell me my "Status" has changed, but the doesn't always seem to be reflected when I post!
Regards,
John-Jay.
