Updating sat nav Renault Megane coupe 64

Hi I have a Renault Megane coupe 64 reg with a carminat sat nav with sd card
i have tried to update this but the serial number is not recognised. Am I doing this wrong
please anyone help as its driving me mad it also has live on it to

    What exactly do you mean with "but the serial number is not recognised" Which Serial Number at which Point in your Update-Process?
