Put Speed Cameras on my phone today. Set off in map mode and the arrow depicting my car goes off screen! I have to swipe to keep up. Never seen such a ridiculous idea.

I've not seen anything as such reported on the forum here but can you please first check if your Location mode is set to High Accuracy or not? You can find this on your phone under Settings> Location>Mode.
Please give it a test run after this and let us know if it's still the same.

Yes, definitely set to High accuracy and still goes off-screen. The only setting I can really have it on is the rolling road but, of course, that only tells you the road you are on.
