TomTom Mobile with Android

Just got a brand new Android powered in car sat nav head unit. It has Google maps on it but I subscribe to TomTom traffic etc. and downloaded and installed TomTom mobile. When using TomTom with my radio on the voice instructions don’t partially mute the radio volume and I can barely hear the voice instructions. If I use Google maps it will partially mute the radio volume on voice instruction. Is there a fix for this within TomTom settings?

Thanks for your reply. I see most of the threads were started over a year ago. I would have assumed that TomTom would have sorted it by now.
