New Traveler
They lie. I bought a tomtom with lifetime maps. and now they send me a email that my gps no longer will be supported with new maps supposedly because my gps is to old for the new maps. So How can they sell you a gps with lifetime maps and then say they don't supporrt new maps after 5 years.
Because they want to sell you another gps! I will never buy another tomtom again because of this lie! Sure they will give you a hell of a deal for a newer model. save ya about 20 bucks. What a Joke!!

It has only been 8 years in what universe is that a lifetime. all they had to do to keep me as customer was to say buy and your lifetime maps transfer to new device. taking my custom elsewhere

As stated above, devices with Lifetime Maps will still get them, regardless of age of the device.0

I don't believe you and that link is clear as mud. From your own post "Your device will continue to function as it does now, but your map will become out-of-date and as such navigation will be less accurate." Less accurate means useless.0
