Hello,
I've submitted a map edit/update request to TomTom in preparation for a 24-month long construction project in downtown Reno, NV. This will affect the main flow of traffic and is crucial to get the updates out to as many vendors as possible. I've made the submission and already heard back from Google Maps and Waze (for the small side-street work), but I have yet to hear back from TomTom.
My questions are: (1) How long will it take to hear back and how long does it take TomTom to make the changes? (2) TomTom feeds to AppleMaps correct? So if TomTom makes this change, then Applemaps will be updated as well - correct?

When did you submit the change? Did you use tomtom.mapshare/tools?
Accepted changes there still can take 6-9 MONTHS before the change is incorporated in a map release.0 -
I did and then well that is pretty useless IMO? if a construction project completely removes a street, a maint street from a big city, TomTom waits 6-9 months to make the change? Wow - well i guess what would explain the inaccuracy of the TomTom product then.
So to be clear, TomTom will not update a map for 6-9 months when a street goes from 2-way to 1-way? And Apple, then as a result will be in accurate for 6-9 months as well?0 -
Hi @SNCTravisRabe
Thanks for reporting this..
I will push the team so this correction gets a higher priority. I have forwarded them all the details.
Unfortunately I cannot promise on a time frame, but it will be treated as more important.

That is great news. Here is some addition details if needed.
The main project site is here: http://virginiastreetrapidextension.com/project-information/.
