Carminat TomTom LIVE - Do I needed to update LIVE?

Hi

I have a Carminat TomTom LIVE built-in to my Renault.

It currently says my LIVE subscriptions had ended a couple of years ago, but from time to time it still advises a redirection due to traffic hold ups to get a faster route.
Which is what I thought the LIVE subscription would provide, so I'm not sure why I'm still getting these notification?

If I re-subscribe to LIVE, what will I gain?

    Before you spend any money, check with customer services the status of your subscription(s) and that they can actually activate the SIM that will allow you to get further 'Live' information

    Hi, Customers service was great.

    They have kindly given me 1 months trial to see if LIVE works for me.

    Also there is a summer promo "SUMMER2018" do you know when this expires?

    Be aware that the occasional traffic re-routing notifications you were getting would have been RDS-TMC traffic reports, which are a supplementary, separate, free, traffic information service which the Carminat is able to pick up via its radio antenna. They are vastly inferior to TomTom's HD Live Traffic.

    That makes sense. Sadly I'm struggling to get LIVE due to my SIM being deactivated as it wasn't renewed within 3 years. You kindly replied on a different topic.

    So the one month free trial of Live Services isn't working, so you've got a truly dead SIM?
