Cannot find addresses- GO 510

Currently on vacation in Italy. Tried my four destinations using home owners instructions but have not reached one with my GO510. My Google can find the correct street and house and without leading me up dead ends and footpaths.
Is this a common occurrence?

    Today I wanted a number 112 but it only offered a 111 - far from 112. Had to use Google maps in the end.
    Five days ago I asked for an address in Sorrento. It took me, via roads so narrow that I damaged my car both sides (rental so it doesn't matter) to a whole different town.
    Five days before that I wanted no. 77 and it took me to no. 96 - a long way away as you might know if you've driven in Italy.
    Five days before that I tried an address in Rome - I was nowhere near it in the end.
    This is despite all addresses being accepted by the device.
