my tomtom start 25 functioned well, until I mounted a new Pioneer car radio.
Pioneer DEH-X7800DAB | 1DIN
the electro magnetic field disturbs the gps reception.
is there any solution?
thanks for your help

Try to separate the radio as far away as possible from your GPS device, and that includes the power cables. Otherwise think of how you can shield the radio in something like aluminium foil, maybe contact the dealer who supplied the radio to see what they suggest.0 -
Hi
@Dominique1955
Maybe boost the GPS signal ???
Try Here ….. GPS RE Radiating Antenna

I allready tried your suggestion without success.
I am afraid covering with aluminium foil will heat up the radio to much.
in addition, the radio is already in an iron frame; I will check the grounding.
To contact the dealer is a good idea.

I suspect that I have a similar issue (which seems to vary with the specific model of TomTom). In my case, I believe the TomTom was reacting to the In-Built Radio (or other electronics).
I solved my problem by moving the TomTom away from the centre part of the Windscreen, over to the extreme Right-Hand Side of the Screen!
Obviously, this is in a UK Right-Hand Drive Car - if you want to try something similar, your TomTom would have to be located on the extreme Left-Hand Side!0
