TomTom MyDrive Connect "Your device is being added" continuously, cannot update or go further.

I have a 2016 Smart Fortwo. It has the TomTom SD card.

I have installed and updated the MyDrive Connect software on both Windows and Mac.

I insert the SD Card, MyConnect then recognises it as the Smart Media-System and prompts me to add the device to my account. I click Add Device and patiently wait....

I am simply left with "Your device is being added, please leave your device connected."

It has been around 4 hours. Within this time I have tried on both an iMac and a Windows laptop to no avail, I have restarted, updated and pretty much everything that I thought would make a difference but I am still left with this.

Thoughts?

    I've figured it out.

    For those who may suffer the same issue, the solution that worked for me was to use the older version of MyDrive Connect.

    On the download page it'll have links to the XP/Vista version. I used this instead and it worked.

    Thank you for posting this, just bought I tomtom via 52 today and waited a few hours while it was stuck with this issue. Your solution has worked for me :)

    How do you bypass the 'required update' message when attempting this method? If I download and install the XP and Vista version I can't login until I've done an update
