START 25 : Two connections on

Hi . there are two connectors on the back of my start 25 one which takes a mini USB (data & power)? plug at right angles to the unit. So can somebody please tell me what is the other connector for and what king of plug is required to fit into it.

Is it perhaps a micro SD card socket ?
if that is the case how is this used?

    That would be a memory card slot. You can insert a microsdhc card (in theory up to 32 gb but that is too much, a 16 gb SanDisk is a good choice) and let the device format it.

    You can then use it when you need additional maps or to handle maps too large for the internal memory.
