  In case you have an active subscription, you will be able to update the device till the subscription expires. Once the subscription has expired customers won't be able to renew the services.

  Map updates take place in Feb, May, Aug and Nov of each year.
  
  If you started in March 2017, likely you received maps for May, Aug and November of 2017. The Feb 2018 map is not yet released.

  But Tomtom have now told me that my Tomtom XXL are old and they don’t sjould give me more uppdates

  Tomtom have already stated that Lifetime Maps and any Existing Map Subscriptions will be honoured
