News to me. I did not receive an email

So I just logged on to get a map of NZ to discover I can no longer buy maps as my TomTom is no longer supported. I did not receive an email advising me of this. What to do? Cannot afford a new device and I object to forced obsolescence and the waste of resources this brings. Guess I will continue to use my TomTom in Australia as I only recently upgraded my map, and use my phone and Google in other countries as so many people are now doing. My children laugh at me using a TomTom but I have remained loyal. Navigation devices will become a thing of the past and this move by TomTom will hasten their demise. Views/suggestions?
