Is it possible to use a gps WiFi enabled tablet instead of a phone with a Tomtom vio?

    Hi Lennyb

    The Vio works with a smartphone and Android version 4.4 or higher and iOS version 9 or higher. So technically if the tablet has this operating system plus GPS then it will work

    However, there could be a resolution issue as the app is normally designed to be used in smartphones.

    Yes it works, and I found out that there is an easy way to switch between devices: I paired the VIO with one android phone, one Iphone7 and one IpadAir2. If you want to use one of the devices, close the Bluetooth connection of the unused device. The VIO will connect fast with the first one that is available. No repairing needed.
    This is a very useful function if you own multiple devices. The settings of the VIO are personalized for each device.
