TomTom Vio doesn't support the technologies provided by MyDrive app / MyDrive Connect and/or MyDrive website at the moment. To connect to Vio device you have to download a dedicated TomTom Vio app from App Store or Google Play. The application will contain instructions to connect your device. You can find direct links to the app stores here: https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/vioapp/
When firmware update for your Vio device is available, the app will download it automatically and update the device over the air after the connection. You won't have to connect Vio to your PC or do something like that, except maybe in some force-majeure event.
That's so frustrating. I have all my favorites in MyDrive, and I use them on my Android phone with the app GO MOBILE, and now I just bought TOMTOM VIO and it comes up that I can't just sync My Places with this VIO app. So when I use my motorbike I'm gonna have to write again every destination, or take the time to copy more than 60 favorites manually. This seems so anachronistic to me. It's true I didn't check this issue before buying, but I guess it's something reasonable to take for granted nowadays.
I'm so disappointed I think I'm going to return the product.
Also why the IOS app has fewer option in route planning than the android one. I have to phones but i'm forced to use the android app. (eg: in IOS you cannot set to avoid a part of the route or to add an intermediary stopping point)
Honestly it doesn't make sense to make such a splendid product as the VIO and leave out basic integration to MyDrive in the smartphone app. I could have checked before I bought the VIO product, but for some reason I didn't and now I consider return or re-sell the product. What a shame...
Please add the possibility to import and sync MyRoutes from MyDrive with VIO.

Hi.
Has Tomtom now noticed we are no longer in the 1980's and made the mydrive site and the tomtom go app compatible with the VIO, or the mydrive site compatible with the VIO app? Love the site, love the tomtom go app, would like to try the VIO, but not if that means manually redoing my places, and not being able to import a GPX and see it on the VIO. The above entrys seem to indicate so :-(
IF Tomtom VIO would be compatible with MyDrive and display Routes i would buy it straight away. But now i (and many other scooter drivers) would keep away from it.

I bought the device with the intention to synchronize it with mydrive. This is obviously not possible and I feel cheated. It does a good job on my bike, but that's very disappointing!I will give corresponding feedback on the dealer's website.
