Device connection to account

I just created a new account for my stand alone Sat Nav, Tom Tom Start, and updated my maps, all went smoothly. Then I decided to buy a voice but when I tried to pay it said it wasn't possible because my device was not connected to my account. How do I rectify that? Any ideas?

    When you try to purchase a voice you must be logged in with the same account details as you used to set up your device.
