Fellow South Africans you should know that you own a Rider 40 and not a Rider 400 as you bought and believed to be true.
It is a marketing decision made by TomTom only for South Africa so they packed a Rider 40 in a Rider 400 box, loaded the continental map on it and did not bother to at least modify the firmware so under settings it will say it is a Rider 400 and not 40. This is a screenshot of my phone paired devices where it obviously shows a Rider 40 and not 400.

Whats the price difference between a Rider 40 and a Rider 400?

I have no idea, not available here in SA. Only available rider 40 sold as rider 400.
    Haha
  • It's not just you, mate. They're running the same con in Australia as well.

What can I say? I still feel bad about it all. Maybe they still think that they can take from us gold and diamonds for mirrors and knives.
