Age according to TomTom
edited January 24
I am 49 years old I cycle 120km a week and do gym 4 days a week. My resting heart rate is 54 bpm. I run 5 km in 30 min and average 27 km/h on a 60km ride. Tomtom says I 57 ? Really
It bases fitness age on your VO2Max which is only calculated during running and cycling workouts, so the 4 days a week in the gym are not contributing to your fitness age (in fact they are counting against it). Your resting HR is not relevant. Ultimately, it is a gimmick, no consumer device can tell you what your fitness age is, as there is no such thing. It is a made up number based on some algorithm someone put together and does not necessarily tie to reality. You know what shape you are in, who cares what a watch says?
I imagine this is not what you were hoping to hear but let me know if this answered your question. If it did, please mark it as a solution so other can look for it if they have the same question.
Thank you for the explanation. I feel younger already.
