I am thinking of purchasing a Rider 450 and already have USB ports installed on my bike, can I charge from there?

It is ill-advised to use USB ports as they only provide 500 mAmps where as TomTom devices require a power supply of at least 1.2 Amps

    Hi
To use the Motorcycle mount that's supplied with the Rider 4xx range requires connection to a 12volt supply
On the back of the Rider 4xx under a rubber bung, there is a Micro USB port but using this port would leave the device open to the elements, water ingress and a dead device
Also, as Niall says in his post
