TTBIN file format questions

Hi,

I'm a collaborator on a bit of software that parses TTBIN files so that they can be used on the Linux platform where the TomTom desktop applications can not be run. We have succesfully managed to parse many tags in the file - GPS locations, heart rate, etc. However, there are a few tags, and a few more since the 1.6.26 firmware version, that we have not managed to decode. These are:

tag: 23 - 78 08 38 07 05 0b 08 01 1c 26 25 25 1f 01 01 01 01 04 00 06 1e 1b 00
tag: 37 - 01 42
tag: 42 - 03 // activity state?
tag: 48 - 26 01 3a 07 68 3c 01 00 49 24 12 12 12 12
tag: 49 - 3d 7f 05 00
tag: 4b ?

tag: 23 - 78 08 38 07 05 0b 08 01 1c 26 25 25 1f 01 01 01 01 04 00 06 1e 1b 00

looks to be something like:
// Sensor data? GPS Erro signal? Kalman matrices?
// 0 1 byte
// 1 uint16 EVPE in cm? sensor 1 or GPS error in cm??
// 3 uint16 EHPE in cm? filtered (?) sensor 1. GPS signal strength?
// 5 uint8 derived data from sensor 1?? =6 most of the time
// 6 uint8[4] sensors 2-5
// 10 uint8[4] sensors 6-10
// 14 uint8[4] sensors 2-5 normalized [0, 1]
// 18 uint8 ? =4
// 19 uint8 ? =2

It would be very helpful, if somebody from TomTom could reply with the real definitions of these tags.

cheers,
Derick

    It is unlikely anyone is going to reply from TT here, the only TT staff on here are moderators, to technical support. You would be better off calling Customer Support and asking for the contact details for someone in the development team. To get the number for Customer Support, go to tomtom.com/support, choose Contact at the bottom, select the service required and the product name and click Contact Customer Care and then Phone Us. It will give you the phone number for the country your account is registered under (this can be changed by clicking the flag icon in the bottom right corner of the screen).

    I hope this helped answer your question. If so, please mark it as a solution so others can look for it if they have the same question.

    I know it doesn't answer your question, but for your and anyone else who comes across this's information, there is a Linux version of the Sports Connect desktop software. See https://en.discussions.tomtom.com/sports-connect-apps-website-389/tomtom-sports-connect-for-linux-1021269 for details.
