Try to create a route in MyDrive and save it as a GPX track, now see if it follows the correct route.
Remember choice of route also depends on the route planning preferences and the vehicle type selected on the device.0 -
How can I create a route in MyDrive, if my poi's doen't get listed to go to each location on one route?
Also, if I record my route, how can I add my poi locations as stops?0 -
What is the best way to create a route in mydrive?
Do you click your work as starting point, then click stops in order you go to them, and the final stop used as your destination?0 -
when you add all your stops into the route, go into the route and select the 'Re Order Stops' option and check they are in the right order.
Ive also found entering the stops in reverse order puts them in the right order.
That's on the device, I don't plan routes on my drive.0 -
I re-ordered stops but it doesnt work. I've tried planning a route on mydrive and see if that's a success tomorrow.0

Hi
When using the MyDriveWeb (v2) Route planner.....
Plan your route... Start --> Destination Then --> Add Stop --> Add Stop --> Add as many Stops as required
If you are using the "Send to Device" option in the MDWeb Route planner there's a bug
You may be losing your Start Point when the route gets transferred to your Go Professional 6250
See 1st tip below
During an "A" to "B" route transfer.....
The device drops Location "A"
This bug applies to all NAV4/(5 Wifi) devices
After you have created your "A" to "B" route using the MyDrive Web (2) Route planner
When you sync the route to your device using the "Send to Device" menu option
I think the device removes your planned "A" location and moves it to your present location, but it doesn't replace your original "A" location with a stop, and so the route misses the original "A" location
Note... This bug applies to routes where "A" is not your present location
For example Route from "A" Birkenhead to "B" Manchester.....The device receives the route -> Calculates the route from my present location (Worcestershire)... Then completely ignores "A" Birkenhead
Screen GO 520Workaround... When planning your route if you place a sacrificial stop right next to the planned Start of your "A" to "B" Route
Then when you sync the route to your device using the "Send to Device" menu option, the device still moves your planned start to your present location... But the sacrificial stop holds the correct route... From your Present location to original "A" then "B"
In the above example... Worcestershire --> Birkenhead --> Manchester
Screen GO 520
The same bug existed within the MYDdrive Web (2) Route planner, the route planner also dropped point A
But that bug appears to have been fixed?

Load route
Click on the pencil Icon for Route Edit Mode
Place the hand cursor on the route, when a white dot appears... LEFT Click the mouse
Left Click on the 3Dot icon for the Quick menu to open
Transfer .GPX routes with "Multiple Stops"
To transfer .GPX routes with "Multiple Stops" created using Tyre to Travel or the previous MyDrive Web (v1) Route planner (May work for .GPX routes from other route planners)
Had a dig around in the MyDrive Web (v2) Route planner
The following allows me to Edit/Save/and Transfer any .GPX routes created using Tyre to Travel or the previous MyDrive Web (v1) Route planner
Re... Old .GPX Routes in stored in MyRoutes
Re... Old .GPX Routes created using Tyre... Follow the red text for the old tyre .GPX files
If you have routes created using the previous MyDrive (Web) Route planner
The MyDrive Web (2) Route planner won't allow editing of these routes
If you Select the route... The route loads but there is no Edit Icon availableBut if you save the .GPX file to your desktop (See above Image)
Then re-import the file into the MyDrive (Web) Route planner
Import the .GPX file that you created using Tyre to Travel into the MyDrive (Web) Route planner
MD Route planner now creates 2 files one you can edit (Finish Route) the other notDelete the file you can't edit
Select the route that is left, Click "Finish Route"
The Route Planner will re-calculate the route
The planning menu will open with the "Send to the device" and the "Save" options Available
Click "Save" to save the route
When you next load the route, you are offered the "Edit Icon" to edit the route
The "Send to the device" works fine, the route syncs OK with the device
"Send to the device" works fine, the .GPX Route that you created using Tyre (along with any Stops), syncs OK with the device

I've also found..... Convert .GPX to .ITN
When you have sent a route to the device using "Send to the device"
After the device calculates the route you can.....
Tap somewhere on the displayed route
A quick Menu should open Tap the 3Dot Icon
Tap Manage Route
Tap Add to my Routes
Accept or Rename the route
Tap Add
The route is added to "MyRoutes" as a .ITN file (Solid Arrow) displayed in the MyRoutes list of routesATB YFM

Oh yes, it does.....
Tap (.... Menu) --> Settings --> Appearance --> Route bar --> Arrival information... Show arrival information.....
Choose Final destination or Next Stop

Already set like that but just shows full route0
-
trucker6000 wrote:Already set like that but just shows full route
But the displayed Time/Distance (At the top of RouteBar) will be from Stop 2 Stop
I always use the display option 'Switch between Distance & Time Automatically'
Tap (.... Menu) --> Settings --> Appearance --> Route bar --> Arrival information... Switch between Distance & Time Automatically

Nope displayed time is to last stop with total distance0
-
Hi
Working OK here...
Planned an approx 2 Mile route with a stop in the middle
Switching between the two options, the route Time/Distance (At the top of RouteBar) halved or doubled as the settings were changed
Running a route demo the Time/Distance counted down to the 'Stop', reset to the remaining distance then counted down to the Destination

Planned a route on mydrive 5 stops and it doesnt give me time and distance to even the first stop. You would think tomtom has been around for years wouldnt have any problems like this. Just like you cant get a route to plan on the device as it doesnt go to stops in right order!0

Hi
Your Route... 'A' Start --> 1 Stop --> 2 Stop --> 3 Stop --> 4 Stop --> 5 Stop & End Point
Is 'A' your present location or do you need to drive to 'A'.....
ATB YFM0 -
A is start point0
-
Hi
I didn't make myself clear.....
Say right now you're sat at home using your Computer... Is 'A' your Home or would you have to get to drive to 'A'
ATB YFM0 -
I dont use sat nav until work start point0
-
It doesn't ask destination just start and stops0
-
Hi
What I'm trying to say is when you start using you SatNav, if you are NOT positioned at Point 'A' then
For a .GPX (Route) you need to use the "Drive to Route option"
For a .GPX (Track) you need to use the "Drive to Track option"
Tap (.... Menu --> Current Route or Track --> Drive to Track or Route as appropriate
The device will need to calculate the route from your actual location to the Start 'A' of your Route

I am at position A when swirched on0

The MDW (v2) Does work, the Routes do transfer to the devices and the routes are drivable...
Here's a 20 stop route I created using the MyDriveWeb (v2) Route planner
Here's the 20 stop route on my GO 520 WifiATB YFM

I've just spent an hour without success!
My browser says v3
I start in dundee, go to aberdeen, back to dundee, go to queenslie, then to linwood, then back to dundee!
I've spent over an hour, and still nothing!
It asks for start location, but not destination, when adding stops, doesn't go back to dundee,
I use this link for my mydriveweb! https://mydrive.tomtom.com/en_gb

There must be another software manufacturer who makes a professional route planner, as tomtoms, is so RUBBISH and doesn't work!
Can't even make a route on the device as that doesn't work either! 1st stop on device aberdeen, tomtom sends you to glasgow!!
Maybe should of bought a garmin! as tomtom has went right down hill!
PLUS PLAN A ROUTE, STARTING POINT, DESTINATION WITH STOPS AND IT DISPLAYS 318MILES 7:13HRS IN SHOW FINAL DESTINATION, AND WHEN NEXT STOP SELECTED!!!0 -
there is no manage route if I click on the route! JUST !"Clear Track, Share Track and Play Track Preview!!!!!0
