Hi,
My back light works when night mode is switched on, however, it is incredibly difficult to activate manually (using two fingers on the screen, as the TomTom video shows). Sometimes it will come on, most times it will not. Also, if it works once and the light goes off, it won't come back on again.
This watch was purchased TODAY. This is quite frustrating.

You need to cup youy palm over the screen to activate the backlight. This is more effective than two fingers. I hope this helped answer your question. If so, please mark it as a solution so others can look for it if they have the same question.0

That is the intended way of doing it. The two fingers also works, but is not the way they designed it. Glad I could help. When you get a chance please mark my response as a solution so others with the same question can look for it.0
