Truck 6000 - Incorrect HGV Speed Limits

It appears to me that the device doesn't reflect the new speed limits for HGVs on single carriageways.

When I first bought the device I reported a few roads using the MSR as having the incorrect HGV speed limit. Since then I've encountered it so many times that I'm convinced the device still thinks the single carriageway limit is 40mph when it's now 50mph.

This is in England btw. I'm aware it's still 40mph in Scotland.

Which version of the map do you have on your device? Check here

This has been an issue for over a year see

As mentioned elsewhere, this issue is actually not (entirely) with the map data but more in the device software. The next update, due soon, will address this issue.

    Hi Zefapanom,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your feedback!

Your feedback is really important to us, and helps us to improve our truck routing. We always aim to get it super-accurate, but sometimes, we don’t manage to live up to our own expectations. Truck routing is incredibly complicated. We have to take into account millions of truck-specific map attributes like bridge heights and weight restrictions. But information about these attributes isn’t always available depending on which country we are mapping. As soon as we have a new attribute, we ensure that it’s included in the latest map update – that’s why we offer the Trucker with Lifetime Maps – so you don’t ever need to worry about driving with the most up-to-date maps.

I'd recommend you to report this to Customer Service. They'll be able to gather the relevant details for our Map team to look into this.

    Cheers, Mikko
