TomTom Runner- HRM not working

I have a tomtom runner since April this year. Good starter watch, but the heart monitor only seems to haverify worked on it 3 times since I've had it. I'm wearing the watch correct so can understand why it only picks up my heart rate this amount of times. Has anyone else had this happen

    What do you mean by it only worked three times? Is it giving inaccurate readings or no readings at all? Have you called Customer Support, who would be the appropriate group to address this with as it may be a hardware defect covered under warranty? To get the number for Customer Support, go to tomtom.com/support, choose Contact at the bottom, select the service required and the product name and click Contact Customer Care and then Phone Us. It will give you the phone number for the country your account is registered under (this can be changed by clicking the flag icon in the bottom right corner of the screen).

    If it's a Runner (like mine) then presumably you've got a chest strap? Are you wetting the contact pads on the strap when you put it on?

    When you turn on the heart rate sensor in the watch settings, you should start seeing the current measured rate displayed on the watch, underneath 'ON' - do you see a number, or just '--'?
