Smartest Route Planner ?
Then zoom in on the route and examine every mile of it in detail. You will see the route goes to a traffic island
then loops round 3 roads and brings you back to the same traffic island, in a continuous loop
Try then changing the route so that it takes the correct road and you cannot do it. It wouldnt be so bad if
it happened once but it is all the way along at random points. I have spent the better part of 5 hours just
trying to correct the faults. Laughably I first noticed this issue on Sunday when I planned a route from Sydenham to Box Hill
We reached Croydon and then were sent round a continuous loop .
My verdict on TomTom devices is stay clear AVOID AT ALL COSTS
We are going to Italy in 5 weeks but first I will bin this useless rubbish
and buy something better. In fact we would be better off buying an ipad and using google road maps
in my opinion. 5 hours using TomTom dumbest route planner compared to 30 minutes with google
So the question is are you going to do something to make this rubbish better or do i bin the tomtom?

I do not seem to be able reproduce your problem here https://mydrive.tomtom.com/en_gb/#mode=routes+viewport=49.65466,0.74402,7.57,0,-0+routes={"departure":true,"traffic":true,"routeType":"FASTEST","travelMode":"CAR","points":["hw~49.93431,1.08956","hw~46.68548,7.8559"]}+ver=2

Welcome to the Community!
Those routing issues sound to me like map related quite likely. Could you post some details about them to the Map Quality board, please? Our Maps Specialist could then take a closer look at them.
Thanks, Mikko

I was wondering if you had mistaken the "Keep left" or "Keep right" instructions ???
Here in the UK we get a Keep left or Keep right instruction, for example, if we are approaching Major Road or Motorway junction/intersection and you are supposed to go straight on, i.e. Not use the junction, the device will say Keep left or Keep right as appropriate, instead of "Ahead... Go straight on"

This bug applies to all NAV4/(5 Wifi) devices
After you have created your "A" to "B" route using the MyDrive Web (2) Route planner
When you sync the route to your device using the "Send to Device" menu option
I think the device removes your planned "A" location and moves it to your present location, but it doesn't replace your original "A" location with a stop, and so the route misses the original "A" location
Note... This bug applies to routes where "A" is not your present location
For example Route from "A" Birkenhead to "B" Manchester.....
Screen GO 520
In the above example... Worcestershire --> Birkenhead --> Manchester
Screen GO 520
The same bug existed within the MYDdrive Web (2) Route planner, the route planner also dropped point A
But that bug appears to have been fixed?
