Bought maps and now I can't get them? How long a wait? :?

Hi,
I have ordered two maps (Western Europe & Canada / USA, my order still says in progress.. after over 24 hours. I have received payment confirmation..
I am waiting for this to process so I can download my maps... I have noticed you say on your website that there is shipping delays, this doesn't affect downloading does it??

I noticed on my device I can download the maps before hand. How does this work?
Can I download them and I just get an activation code to use them?

Each time I have tried to download either Western Europe or Canada / USA they eventually fail at various percentages.
Could you please enlighten me on the whole process?

Please respond ASAP as I need them urgently as fly out in 4 days on overseas holiday for 3 months. I am becoming quite anxious so your help would be greatly appreciated.

    I phoned Technical Support 1300 number above which diverts to India. I was greatly helped. My problem, in being unable to download a map, was caused by a previous failed download of same map. The download had reached >80% when failed for unknown reason (our internet connection is usually very reliable). Only Tomtom IT Support can clear a failed map and so allow another attempt. Good outcome.
    It would be helpful and save much time/concern if the device could display the issue in a trouble shooting section. All good now with another attempt at download under way.
