GO LIVE 825 not connecting to a computer

Tossed the TT cable away after I spent two days trying to connect my Go Live 825 for the latest updates as it simply refused to connect on 3 different pc's. Ended up using my usb phone cable worked first time end my frustrations. Dont believe the use only TT cables thats simply not true and a waste of time

    It's certainly not that only TomTom cables work for updating as USB cables are quite standard articles. There are, however, some differences and we can best support with using the original cable. I case you've lost it, you can get a new one here.

    It is ridiculous I have three device, four i count if I count my wife's. none work on my iMac with new mydevice install. Now I have to locate the original USB cable, that is crazy. Buy a new one and it still will not guarantee to work? Why make things so complicated and frustrating, my garmin for motorhome updates easy as pie, better off using my mobile phone
    Do you know how frustrating it is to plug in and nothing happens.....
