Hi henrik2960, I would personally recommend buying a dedicated dash cam over an action cam if this is your primary reason for purchasing one.
The benefits of a dedicated dash cam are things like stop/start recording with the vehicle ignition and auto saving of a file when harsh braking or a collision is detected. There's a whole host of models out there so I hope you can find something that meets your requirements.0 -
Hi Chris.
I hear you
BUT... I do not want a whole bunch of equipment - I want a few "multi purpose" units that I can use where and when I want (and I accept they are not dedicated) ... same reason I got rid of all my old cameras (Contax SLR + 2 small) and bought the Sony RX 100 III.
I have 3 cars, a Harley and 2 bikes... No way I will install a unit in each car.
A multipurpose that I can move is my cup of tee - hence the request for loop recording0
