We have a major new road opened around 4 months ago just 1 mile from my home. It is still not showing on any map updates, how long before it will be shown on my Tomtom.

    Thanks.
    I reported it today.
I still don't get how users have to report these things. We don't have to do it for google maps. I don't see the point in renewing my subscription when it expires - I'll just use google maps on my phone.

Google. like every other mapping company need to see a "report" from someone/somewhere before they can check & verify things. I guess Google are just more efficient/quicker than TT at incorporating changes/new roads etc.

Google has more employees in the map division (5000+) than TomTom has in its entire company worldwide (3500).

I wonder why they don't use google maps and deploy the map staff on more navigation device related projects?

That's all well and good, but we pay TomTom for the maps, speed limits, etc and they're still not up to date. What are we paying for?

Well TomTom should use some of the money we pay them to employ more staff!

Come on everyone. There is a reason why TomTom offers free lifetime map updates. Guessing the main reason is because they are not updated.

Free?? I don't get them for free. I just received an email saying my Map Update Service has expired, and I have to pay money to renew it. They even have the gall to say "It's the smartest most accurate way to enjoy accurate routing and stress-free driving all year round".
