Just installed a new Cardo Scala Q3 in my helmet and tested it today for the first time with the Rider 400 (both devices running latest firmware). About 50% spoken directions simply sound awful (yes I use bluetooth for traffic data as well). I found this thread today, hoping to find a solution - but apparently there is none. This is disappointing. TomTom, Please make fixing this a priority in the next software update.

As annoying as this is, TomTom apparently has moved the issue further up on the to-do list. TomTom did not see this as a major problem as not everyone have it. So it is good that you chip in!
Do you use an iPhone? The problem seems to be concentrated around iPhones.

Yes, I use an iPhone 6s.

Interesting - and fine that you report it. Hope Tomtom realise the problem's magnitude and that it must be solved before additional features are added.

So, apparently, it is an iPhone/Samsung problem. That covers just about every second motorcyclist with a smart phone.. I hope that Tomtom moves the problem to the top of the list...

I have a brand new TTR400 with all the latest updates and have the same issue. Must they that I'm very disappointed.
Sena 20S version 1.6 paired to TTR400 as GPS. I don't use anything through my phone except calls straight through the 20S headset.
I've used my old TTGO720 in the same way and the audio was very clear.

A little surprise: I paired TT as a mobile phone (by mistake) to a Scala Cardo Q4 and there is no hoarse voice at all. I'm testing it about two weeks with the phone connected only to the GPRS network (to be slow) and it's ok.

I don't know if it's the Q4 or that I paired TT as a mobile phone or both.

I'll try it the same with my SRCS...

May I ask what means "quickly" at TomTom?
Would be nice to know if update comes before ride season.

I paired TT with my SRCS as a mobile phone. The problem is still here.

So it seems that it's the combination of headset & TT...

It was worth a look Ste7ios. Unfortunately I have tried all the profiles in some vain attempt to get a solid connection but nothing so far.

Just waiting to try one more device as a replacement. I did look at phone but its less than perfect, Id need a separate speed camera app and if you are travelling somewhere without data and decide to go off a planned route it gets a bit tricky. I'd also need to look at installing a usb charger of some sort on the bike

I've got the same problem. Already raised a ticket at tomtom support. Very annoying, but I'm forwarded to level 2 support....
Today I got an answer that the problem isknown to TT..... They are still busy searching for a solution..

Keep searching or hire adequate technicians for this problem.

It all works fine (speach announcements) as long as you kill the bluetooth network setup. (Traffic & speedcams)
The bluetooth PAN profile (BNEP) protocol is inconflict with the HFP Protocol of GPS announcements.

    Setup:
    Heatset; Sena 20S
    Firmware; 1.6
    Phone; iPhone 6
    IOS; 9.3.1
