My car runs on LPG and I have heard of a possibility to integrate LPG stations into my map: is there anybody who can help me with this?

An overview of all or Europe would be nice: otherwise I would be helped with NL, BE, FRA, DE, Austria & Switserland

Thanks in advance!

Depending on the device, you can upload POIs. You can get those from PocketGPSWorld or POI Plaza or similar pages. Just make sure it is in .ov2 format.

Since Tom Tom can Display GAS-Station I would also love to see LPG-GAS Stations as Build in POIs!

Hydrogen stations also or are these uncommon still?

You make an excellent point - let me make some enquiries for you [and others of course ;)]

The perfect digital map will always be a 'Work-in-progress'. In most areas in the World where we have a presence, I believe we get pretty close.

In my opinion, ANY and EVERY car related POI should be standard. Such as garages, MOT stations, fuel stations, car part shops.

Good point.  I'm also a "Hospital, Clinic guy" but I'm rambling off topic now.  Go see the new Topic

Thank you; it seems therefore that Hydrogen fill-ups are or have become popular too (and thus will be growing).  We likely do include some Gas (meaning Petrol I would think) Stations as such but not specifically mention the other facilities at that point (like Restrooms; Restaurant; Truck stop? Overnight facilities for truck drivers; a Workshop perhaps and much more. )

In sourcing for the African maps I always try to capture all of these (with the name of fuel sold) as separate POI.  It's thus easy to search for the facilities separately.  Our POI Team could take a closer look at this type of grouping and I'll give it mention.

You can add 3rd party POIs.

You can try here to download  the LPG stations for a particular country :- LPG Stations in Europe - myLPG.eu

    Shorty,

Hydrogen pumps may be of interest to a select group of people, but not too many.

I would guess in Western Europe a large number of people have cars running on Liquified Petrol Gas, in Holland referred to as LPG, in France and Italy as GPL: in Austria and Switserland this is extemely difficult to come by. Hence why I would think TomTom would have an interest in helping their customers to find better find these service stations.

Hydrogen stations are so few, these could probably be listed on one A4 size piece of paper, for all of Europe... I am not to bothered and not many TomTom users will be, I suppose...

Thanks for your help, I have still not succeeded in getting LPG stations integrated into my navigation system: I guess I am not too skilled when it comes to finding, downloading and installing this onto my device!

    Regards,

    Johan

    Niall,

Thanks for this: I can download lists with stations: at least a start!!

Unfortunately the POI's are for Garmin: maybe I should buy one of those instead...

    Regards,

    Johan

You can get LPG POI at lots of places. Depending on your country. Just enter LPG POI for TomTom into Google and you should find lots of them. Download and unzip them, and copy the files into your map foldert. Check if it is yopur map folder, as it should contain files ending in ov2 or cline.

Recived this from Tomtom a while back

With regard to autogas LPG availability in France, the Refuelling outside the UK section of our website (http://www.autogas.ltd.uk/refuelling/refuelling-outside-the-uk/) carries information about filling up throughout Europe and has a link to this website below for sites in France.

Your site doesn't seem to be working fella. Plus i see www.LPGstations.com put some rescent updates. You can even make MPG calculations. And of course websites UI is a little better.
