Avoiding Unpaved Roads

I see that a number of people want their unit to avoid unpaved roads, and can't make it happen. I have the opposite situation. Many of the roads around me are unpaved, but I want to use them, so I chose never avoid. But my unit (Via 1535 LTM) wants to send me on a long route to get to a paved road, even when my destination is a short distance straight ahead.
I also have it set to Fastest Route, but have also tried Shortest Route. but it seems stuck on wanting to put me on a paved road, even though it is 5 times more miles and would take 5 times as long.

Try to switch off IQ routes if you have it within the planning preferences.0

No difference.
It seems like *don't* avoid unpaved roads would be the simple thing to do.0 -
That is ignored0

Is it already possible to "prefere unpaved roads"? I'm off road fun and would most willingly totally avoid asphalt roads! Do we have such an option?0

Nope. Tomtom devices are geared to on road routing.0

It should be simple option. Cannot we add this simple option so we could choose "prefere unpaved roads"? Or avoid asphalt roads?
This would expand base of happy users by off road funs - the growing society!0 -
It sounds like a map error and not a software glitch.
You may report it with https://www.tomtom.com/mapshare/tools/0 -
No no no...
I'm asking if we can add such option to Tom Tom road planning: unpaved roads preference?
Alternatively the option could be: asphalt roads avoidance - the result would be similar.
It would be grate for challange seekers and off-road lovers!
I'm the one :-)

Did you ever get result? I have my TomTOM IOS set to 'fastest route' and I *dont* want to avoid unpaved roads (rural NSW you dont have a choice) but TomTOM always prefers sealed roads to the extent of recommending routes that take 30 mins longer and 50kms further just to stay on a highway.
I get that lots of folks with flash cars don't want dirt - but some of use with beat-up 4WD want the fastest route what ever - and TomTom doesnt seem able to do that reliably
