    Hi @JackieWalker59 ,

I have activated the sim status of your Mazda device.
Just update the device and then the service will work as expected.

    Regards,
    Neha

Also Neha. Your link took me to Carminat ? What is that ? I have TomTom Home in my Mazda CX5.

Carminat is a GPS model installed on Renault cars.

Your Sim card was not yet deactivated, renew your subscription regularly to prevent vodafone from deactivating your Sim card.

Normally no it is not possible to reactivate a deactivated Sim card

so if Tomtom has the possibility to reactivate a Sim, it will be good for Tomtom to reactivate the card for all customers who request it.

If you remain more than 18 months without a subscription, the Sim card is automatically deactivated and it is no longer possible to reactivate it.

The only solution is to change your GPS which has an active Sim card.

Yesterday I spoke on chat to Zara who said i needed to update my sd card and then purchase Live services.
I did that today and when I received no activation code, I contacted chat again and Ash M said my device was no longer supported and I would not be able to do anything and he would cancel the subscription and arrange a refund.
I will try what you suggest.
    Thanks.

Hi Neha. I believe I have updated my Mazda navigation system NB1 via the SD card.
Will I need to repurchase Live Services ?
How can I verify the Sim is working ?

    Hi @JackieWalker59 ,

Live services are already assigned to your account, it's not yet canceled.
Update the SD card via the TomTom Home.

    See the steps here :

    Hi again.
I have put the SD card back in the Mazda, Live services shows as an option but the following message occurred " TomTom Services - An error occurred on the TomTom server. Please try again later. Twice.

The problem may well be the GPS signal from I believe Vodaphone Ash. M told me my system was no longer supported by Vodaphone,

So the link Neha sent me to troubleshoot my problem is not relevant to a Mazda
Have you seen that Neha seems to believe Live Services are assigned to my account.
I think maybe they are assigned but can't work because the Sim is not valid. Does that make sense.
Would I have to replace the whole unit for the Sim to be replaced/updated ?
I already hesitated at £55 for a year when google maps is free but to have to buy a new unit in a 9 year old car may not be worth it.

Looking back in the chat it might have been that Neha was able to reactivate it.
    I will keep it updated as I hadn't done since 2014 !

I agree. The previous person on Chat with at TomTom (as opposed to Community) told me there was nothing that could be done.
I'm just pleased it's working. I drive so locally that it hadn't been an issue for years.

    Hi
    @JackieWalker59
It looks like some of the Dashboard Built-in systems with SIM Cards may have a longer life before they are de-activated ???
The Carminat TomTom LIVE Services is not available after 3 years without a subscription
