My device won't let me type letters in the address line

In WI we have addresses that include letters. My device won't let me type letters in the address line.
Is there a setting that needs to be changed or is this something TomTom needs to address? I can't find a way to send this question directly to them.
I find the support site hard to navigate.

    I need to clarify. I can't type letters in the House Number part of the address. We have addresses like W194N1234 Street Name.
    I can type the street name, but not the N/S/E/W part of the address.
