Device is brand new and is our second device our other one is TT GO Basic and connects perfectly. We have not changed our password or have any unusual symbols in password. Each time we try to connect we get "oops cannot connect at this time. Please try later" we have been trying for a week now.

    Thanks for the 5GHZ question and no to the logged in one because whole point of this thread was I couldn't log in to my account on the GO Classic. My laptop which has my drive on it, uses same https as you quoted. Thank you for your input, think I'll just send it back as not usable.

    GO Classic is wi-fi, you don't need to connect it to Mydrive connect to perform updates.

    Sorry maybe I didn't explain properly, I'm trying to log on to get my routes which are on my drive. I haven't got any routes on new device and being a driving instructor I need sat nav routes.
    The wi-fi is working ok.
    Thanks Willy875, anyway.

    Can my GO classic only use 2.4GHZ internet connection? My BT Internet is 5GHZ, might that be my problem. Are there any devices which use 5GHZ?

    On your GO classic, are you logged in to your Mydrive https://mydrive.tomtom.com/en_gb/#mode=viewport+viewport=52.85617,-1.38041,5.89,0,-0+ver=3 account with the same login credentials.

    Are there any devices which use 5GHZ?
    GO Discover / GO Expert / GO Exclusive.

    you can change Wi-Fi networks for updates to 2.4 GHz instead of 5 GHz

    For connection to Mydrive, a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz connection should not cause any connection problems.

    HI
    @Geco60
    The latest Wi-Fi connected device like the GO Discover & GO Expert etc... Can connect to Wi-Fi 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks
    The earlier Wi-Fi Connected devices like your GO Classic will only connect to a Wi-Fi 2.4Ghz network....
    Or a USB cable Connection (+ MyDrive Connect running on your PC)
