Serena and Malcolm computer voices not working

Hi.
Don't know if this is the correct section in which to post so apologies if its not.

Until recently, the Serena and Malcolm computer voices were working as they should until the moment I realised they were not speaking the guidance to me any more. I've checked in the device menu and the Serena and Malcolm voices appear. They can both be selected though they are both silent. All of the recorded voices seem to be working as normal.
The voices also appear as installed when connected to my PC using the MyDrive app.
If its relevant, the device is a Go Basic 6".
Thanks in advance, any assistance "fixing" this issue would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
    Checked all that stuff. All as it should be and the other "recorded" voices as well as system sounds are working fine. Plenty loud enough even at 50% volume.
    Just the "computer voices" not working/ speaking.
