No Maps Found

Hi
Trying to update a friends TomTom XXL Classic Series. Downloaded and installed TomTom Home
However when trying to update the maps getting the following error ''Item was not valid after installation'
There is no backup of the map files on the PC either. TomTom displays 'No Maps Found' when switched on

Please assist in this matter

Tomtom XXL Classic is no longer followed by Tomtom so it is no longer possible to update it.

So has the update process deleted the devices maps ?
Surely there must be a way to recover those maps - Is there a file that can be downloaded back to the device ?

Is there a factory reset option available ?

Hi

The only place where you can find your backup so your card is on the computer.

look in ► documents ► Tomtom folder you must have a full backup of the Tomtom ► click on Home ► click on internal or backup.

Ask the moderator if a map is available for your GPS.
